Maybe this is just Ezra Klein being ironic and self-aware and totally in on the joke. But for some reason, I suspect not:
But what about a reverse-commencement, where young folks tell their elders what they should know? What should be in that speech? [2/2]

JVL, your suspicion is almost certainly correct. But check out this response to his tweet:
Thomas H. Crown @ThomasHCrown — @ezraklein “With the right connections and no relevant policy experience, you too can have a soapbox at a major newspaper.”
(Klein’s tweet was probably inspired by this fantastic Bret Stephens column in the Journal the other day:

We’ve been through this movie before:

Can’t help adding this completely gratuitous P.S. Logan’s Run was produced by the smartest man I ever met, Saul David, who 15 years later became a very close friend and told me a great story about the shoot. (This was the last of his movies, thanks to his congenital impertinence, which he detailed in a terrific book called “The Industry”.)
Much of Logan was shot in Jamaica, where the studio had hired a local man to serve as his factotum. All through the shoot the factotum would mutter to himself, “When the revolution come, mon…”
Day after day, this went on. Finally, on the last day, Saul said, “I know I’m going to regret asking, but what *is* going to happen when the revolution comes?” Answer: “When the revolution come, mon, I be sitting there”–pointing to Saul’s producer’s chair–“and you be sitting here.”

Best comment of 2012.

Interesting, is Ezra more like Logan, Francis, or the sinister doc in the face parlor?

I take it that, in context, the burn was directed at Stephens? (an accumulator of enemies; also Klein is an e-venture w/ no print soapbox)
