Yglesias Watch

Matt Yglesias seems to know as much about accounting as he does about demographics. And CGA color adapters. And the history of newspapers. And . . . never mind.

This made my morning. Poor Sean Davis, beating his head against the wall trying to get Yglesias to understand a simple accounting concept like “overhead.”
Yglesias: “But you don’t disagree with my POLICY, right?”
Davis: “What about overhead? They’re still losing money.”
Yglesias: “Policy. Have you read my Amtrak policy? It’s great”
Davis: “Your policy is fiction. They don’t have these ‘surpluses’ you talk about — the overhead eats them all up. Are you dumb?”
Yglesias: “Policy … POLICY … POLLLL-IIIIII–CEEEEEEEE!!! I’m a WONK, dammit! JUICEBOX MAFIA RULES THE WORLD!!!!!”
