When you’ve lost David Brooks . . .

Sounds like his complaint about Obama is that he’s acting too much like Republicans.

Brooks may have be a bit hurt and frustrated, but he has not lost ultimate faith in his vision for Washington DC. For that I am grateful. Brooks is the happy warrior. Ezra Klein, you scoundrel, you may have won this round: But the forces of moderation and compromise will not cease in the never shrill, always respectful campaign to save us from “intransigent Republicans and mean ideologues.”

    My favorite line:

“We assign equal blame to both parties for the dysfunctional politics when in reality the Republicans are more rigid and extreme. ”

What was Obama’s line during debates in the last Congress? Oh yeah, “I won.” Sounds flexible to me.
