Santino passes along a very interesting Wired piece about Chain World.
Chain World is a game designed to mimic certain aspects of nascent religion and as a demonstration project, the design is fascinating. There is only one copy of the game. It resides on a USB key, which gets passed from player to player. The game itself is a mod of Minecraft, an adventure game which allows players to build and create within the game world’s architecture. The idea for Chain World is that you play it once, adding or changing whatever you like to the game as you go. Then, when you die, you pass the game on to some one else.
The whole piece is worth reading.
