(1) Quick question: Which team has won a game more recently? The Philadelphia Phillies of the Philadelphia Eagles? Obviously, the question answers itself.(2) Going into Monday night’s dumpster fire game against the Carolina Panthers, the Eagles had the following stat: Since firing defensive coordinator Juan Castillo, opposing QB’s had completed 79% of their passes for 12 TD’s with 0 interceptions. After the game, the completion percentage dipped a bit, but the TD to INT ratio inched up to 14-0.

Since Bowles took over, the QB rating against the Eagles has been about 135. To put that in perspective, Tom Brady’s career QB rating is 97. The ratings difference between Eagles and Brady is larger than the difference between Brady and Vince Evans. Which leads to the obvious conclusion: Juan Castillo was the best defensive coordinator in NFL history.
