Google Glass and Breastfeeding
April 24th, 2014

In a move that is surely designed for no purpose other than getting gullible press, Google Glass announced that it now has an app to help new mothers who are having trouble with breastfeeding.

What’s the over-under on the total number of Glass users who are new mothers?

I’ll start the line at five.

There are probably five in San Francisco. But new mothers in San Fran aren’t allowed to have trouble breastfeeding. Guinness is a better app.

Do they have an app for helping mothers with three-year-old Bond villains currently belting out (twang and all) “You’ll Never Leave Harlan Alive?” I believe her.

Hi there, We are the tech team behind the app and are based in Australia. The project was trying to help mums that don’t have access to support through other means, some because of distance (Australia’s population is really spread out over huge areas), some because of transport and some because this area of health support is pretty specialised. We don’t have any connection with Google, we purchased the hardware and it helped us solve a problem in our community. This is the full story on how the poject went and how we did it http://breastfeeding.smallworldsocial.com/
