Great Moments in Law Enforcement
May 2nd, 2014

Seniors in Teaneck, New Jersey, engage in massive school prank/petty vandalism. Fifteen law-enforcement agencies (including K-9 units) respond.

It’s enough to make you wonder how the United States ever functioned in the lawless bygone days of, oh, 1990.

Those MIT kids were lucky the law didn’t SWAT teams and snipers weren’t around.

Patrol cop at Univ. of the Incarnate Word who shot the off-campus student is still working there. Because of the civilian’s mega-BAC the university’s leaned on surly-male-as-incipient-DWI-massacre praxis but I was thinking, “This must make administrators across the country nervous, the prospect of explaining 5 (some sources say 6) bullets in your drunken son to the tuition payers.” Douthat is right, ’68er social liberalism is expensive indeed.

The logical next step, I mean, obvious Hopenchange prog-wonk solution is to merge all institutions of education with federal penitentiaries, to be operated by unionized THX 1138 sort of contractors, thus bending the curve and reducing inequality
