Kaus-Sullivan: No Mas

Really, there are lines that even I won’t cross. Here’s Mickey Kaus with what is the end of his friendship with Andrew Sullivan:

Sullivan: HIV Made Me More Modest! Oh, wait. Sorry. What he actually wrote was:

HIV transformed my life, made me a better and braver writer ….

That’s one big Rubicon. Something must have transpired between them in private, no?

    Wow, it’s beyond parody. My favorite bit in Sullivan’s piece is the promise to “stay off TV.” Just to make sure we knew he was on there, probably a lot. Somehow I’d guess that promise will go the way of his promise to stop blogging. Sigh.

    I’m no fan of Excitable Andy, but are Kaus and the rest of you who took that Sullivan piece seriously a bit irony-impaired?
