Matt Labash on Sarah Palin
November 23rd, 2010

Memo to Vanity Fair, New Yorker, et al: If you want to do a hit on Sarah Palin, this is how you do it. Who needs imaginary crimes and deceptions when you have Palin Twitter feed to mine?

Brutally effective.

How many young conserv./libertarian writers have been tagged as “the next P.J. O’Rourke” in the last 15 years? Labash is the only one worthy of the title. It was the “Women of the Clinton Scandals” piece that put him over the top.

I thought it was bitchy-sounding… And I have read almost everything by Matt (who more-than-occasionally trashes conservatives who just ain’t as fiercely independent as he is) and I also think this TLC show is pretty stupid

After reading with disgust your article in this week’s Weekly Standard I have decided not to renew my subscription that I have had for 5 years. Your condensention and eletist vitriole towards the entire Palin family was over the top. Your snobbery is quite apparent, and I “betcha” you don’t have a humble bone in your body. I am not a Palinista by any means, I would feel the same way if you attacked any person or family the way you did in this article. Shame on you.

Why is it so controversial in certain circles to say that Palin isn’t a very serious person?
