The current surge for Newt Gingrich looks like one last fling before Republicans settle down with Romney.

There’s something deeply funny about picturing the Gingrich candidacy as a drunken, slutted-up one-night stand from a Vegas bachelor party. I’d pay good money to see Gary Locke or Tom Fluharty do a quickie rendering.

    That’s a lot of subtext to cram into one image, though the idea of cheating on a sitting president is intriguing.
