I called this RLeafIII thing years ago.
That said, I’m going to miss having Robert Griffin The Third in Washington after this year because I’m counting on the dumpster fire to keep me warm through a 6-win Eagles season.

I doubt that Washington could have grabbed the 1 pick (and Luck) from Indy. They were set on their guy – so much so they let HOF Manning go.
What if RGIII turned out to be as good (reliable/steady) as someone like Matt Ryan (of the Falcons)? Would that have been worth the trade up?
My point is that Luck may end up being a top five GOAT type QB, but getting a very solid QB in the NFL is very important and potentially franchise-saving.
Overall, the hype with RGIII was greater than reality (or he could leave Washington and shine somewhere else).
