The Hottest Take on Bruce/Caitlyn Jenner
June 3rd, 2015

Comes from . . . Hot Air?

Empowerment through adversity proved a winning ticket here; and while I can’t pretend to understand what she went through, I do believe God gives you only what you can handle. That common ground, to me – and probably many other conservatives – is more important than the clothes (or lack thereof) someone has on their back.

With the momentum from this announcement and affiliation, Catilyn inadvertently gave the Republican Party something it desperately needs more of – “street cred,” simply put, an understanding sense of humanity.

If the party overall was to warm up to these “differences” and use them as a broader tool to crush problems (not people) that really matter – like insurmountable national and student debt, ever-increasing national security threats and domestic encroachments on Constitutional liberties – Democrats would stand no chance.

This is Jezebel-level analysis. Ugh.

I checked Jesse Owens’s Wiki page and noticed a glaring error: It doesn’t give him credit for being the first dead man to run the 100M in 10.3.

okay, still…it seems to me that conservatives keep taking the bait. There is no way that there can be an intelligent, nuanced conversation about the personal challenges of Bruce/Caitlyn through Twitter or click bait headlines. (the best I’ve read so far came via Powerline – Damon Linker – the whole world’s been had in a massive effort to boost TV ratings)

So, why give the lefty Internet trolls any ammunition? Why not just say, ‘wish Bruce/Caitlyn the best.’ Because I do. I have my own ideas of what “the best” is, but at this point, Bruce/Caitlyn and the Creator are going to have to sort this out.

There ARE much bigger issues that impact most of us: national debt, health care, Middle East chaos, etc. The left has no good answers and has had the main hand in creating quite a bit of it. Keep the conversation on that. No on cheap, “respect my decisions” and “have compassion” conversations that can’t be won.

I don’t see why GOPers should waste a single sentence addressing the new “it” girl– for/against or betwixt. Wasn’t this Obama’s re-election shtick, i.e. an endless stream of manufactured “hundred flowers” stratagems designed to provoke Offensive Gaffes from liberals’ social inferiors. Stop falling for the same con, guys
