If you haven’t forked over your $60 to George Lucas yet, I’ve got a piece up about why the Star Wars trilogy DVDs are a sham and an attack on everything we hold dear about Star Wars. Matt Continetti, on the other hand, has chimed in with a fan-boy’s defense of Lucas.

Little did we know that the Ministry of Truth would come into being–as an outsourced agency to Hollywood.Maybe I’m a purist at heart, but the described changes are akin to colorizing black & white films. You screw up the original image and trash the cinematographer’s techniques.Thanks for the heads-up–even if I wanted to before, I will not spend my money on a product I don’t really know.
