Two Questions

(1) Is there a movie you want to see this summer more than Layer Cake?

(2) Is there anyone with a better voice than Michael Gambon? My God, just listen to those pipes.

    Layer Cake will rock! I’ll be sure to re-watch Snatch just to get in the right frame of mind.Oh, then Batman Begins and Fantastic 4.

    Nah, I got nothing. Maybe if you count September. I’m America’s only John Dahl fan, so I’ll check out The Great Raid, even if it’s been on the shelf so long I think Georges Méliès was the original cinematographer.And Bruce Campbell might pull me into The Woods, but I’m pretty sure it’s going to suck hard.–Bill Walsh

    I dunno about Layer Cake the movie, but I read and deeply enjoyed the book. Marvelous stuff for crime fiction buffs.

    I knew nothing about Layer Cake prior to watching this Saturday, and so had no idea what to expect. It was excellent, and I preferred it vastly over Snatch. Daniel Craig’s performance was sublime.
