Volcanic Coffee?

Has anyone out there tried a Bodum vacuum coffee maker?

I’m a sucker for kitchen gadgets and while, strictly speaking, I don’t need a new coffee maker, I’m always open to new things.

Looks to me to be one highly sophisticated french press. I love my bodum french press, can’t stand coffee made any other way.

Yeh I have. They make good coffee, but I’d rather put the $100 towards one of these:Technivorm Coffee Maker These are the best rated drip coffee makers in the world that arent $500 or more.

I have not tried the electric vacuum. I have used a Bodum “unplugged” version, though, and the coffee was great. I later got rid of the thing because all the prep was just too much.I second the technivorm recommendation. Also, a true coffee fanatic will roast his own beans. I have had two. They make excellent coffee, are easy to use, and are easy to clean.
